Setanta Sports will not be broadcasting, via our TV channel, the upcoming RBS 6 Nations Championship as the rights for the new term 2014-17 have been sold to another broadcaster for certain territories. While we work hard to secure the rights to the world’s best rugby, we are not successful in securing rights every time.
Setanta has retained the online rights to broadcast the RBS Six Nations on Setanta Sports Plus in the following territories: Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, China (People’s Republic), India, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, North Korea, Pakistan, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Timor-Leste and Vietnam.
In these territories the games will be live on our web and mobile products. Games will not be available on replay via the mobile applications, however we do expect the web platform to support replays for a period of time (subject to change).
While we try to secure the same rights for our television channel and Setanta Sports Plus, this is not always possible. Before you subscribe check out the schedule to ensure that the content you wish to view is available.
Due to our broadcast rights agreement, some matches are simulcast at time of broadcast. They will be shown live on smart-phone and tablet.
Catch Up games will become available will be available up to 48 hours after the event for most of our content and it will be there in catch section till 7 days.
We try to ensure that the schedule is updated two weeks in advance. However, with the range of sporting events we cover and the short notice that can be involved with changes to live sport it is sometimes only possible to confirm the schedule of certain events a few days in advance.
We can't be specific on exact games due to rights and scheduling reasons, however we can give an estimate of what you can expect for the 2012/13 upcoming season and tell you that on average you will have access to 100+ games per month.
